Tis the season... to start a great family tradition!

Merry Christmas!

As winter winds drive us into the warmth and comfort of our homes, adorned with twinkling lights and festive trees, we find ourselves caught between two worlds. A euphoric haze of childhood nostalgia envelops us, adding a touch of magic to what might otherwise be a mundane, cold early winter. The past intertwines with the present, urging us to embrace the world around us and seek out the glimmers of hope and joy that surround us.

This season offers a unique opportunity to establish new traditions, refresh cherished ones, or create entirely new customs. Christmas carries the power of renewal, filling our hearts with hope and cheer. As the world outside slows down, take a moment to foster meaningful connections. Get a little corny—sing a few Christmas carols. Bake some cookies and hand-deliver them to neighbors you hardly see during the year, just to say, "Merry Christmas."

Most importantly, create personal, memorable moments with your children. While funny Christmas movies are always entertaining (we’re big fans of It’s a Wonderful Life and Elf), they aren’t interactive. Our favorite tradition is reading a classic Christmas story each night in December, leading up to Christmas. The Night Before Christmas, A Christmas Carol, and, of course, the Nativity story are among our top picks. Don’t forget to count the days with an Advent calendar—it adds an extra layer of anticipation.

The greatest gift we’ll ever receive is the love of our Savior. The time and love we share with our families are reminders of that divine love. Make the moments count. Spend time together, love one another, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

And if you’re still searching for the perfect Christmas gift for a child in your life, consider a copy of The Gnomes of Fibberton! We even have gift-wrapped copies available for those last-minute shoppers who like to wait until just days before Christmas.
